Book Binding / Journal Creation

Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
An exciting introduction to papermaking and bookbinding.
The students will make the paper, which they will use to make their very own journal.
The project will run over the entire term incorporating the following stages:
Starting at the very beginning the students will be making their very own paper.
Making the paper pulp
Marbling the paper for the cover
Selecting, stitching and construction of inside pages
Cover construction
Completed book!
If at the end your child wishes continue the papermaking fun at home, an A4 papermaking deckle this can be purchased for $65.00 each.

Cost
$200.00 for the term (10% discount for sibblings), includes all materials and services. To secure your child’s place, check with us for availability - a deposit of $50.00 is required (see below for payment options). Because this project requires a full term to complete, full term bookings only. If students are away due to illness make-up classes are available.
