Our Term Four 2010 after school program is out. Our clases include a Monday 'Drawing and Painting' class for 5 to 8 years old and creative art classes once again are packed with fun new projects. Continue reading for information on our classes.

Monday Drawing and Painting Class
A relaxed introduction into painting and drawing for children 5 to 8 years old. This term we will explore different ways we can draw and print.
- When: Starting Monday 4th of October to Monday 6th December.
- Time: 4.30pm-5.30pm.
- Venue: Ekko Creatives, 102 Ryrie St, Geelong.
- Cost: $18 per session or $162 for the term (10 weeks). You will also need a pair of white Volleys for weeks 5&6 (Target).

The Different Ways We Can Draw…
Week 1: October Monday 4
Traditional drawing using grey leads. Discover the different ways to use grey lead including water soluble grey lead pencils.
Week 2: October Monday 11
Drawing with string. Using string instead of a pencil we will create quirky line drawings.
Week 3: October Monday 18
Drawing with wire. This week we will create an outline of a person this time in wire which becomes a sculpture!
Week 4: October Monday 25
Drawing and Collage. Carrying on in figures we will draw a family member in pencil while adding collage elements on canvas.
Week 5: November Monday 1
Special Project Volleys I. An exciting project where we will be decorating a pair of shoes with your own drawings! In the first week you will design what you would like to draw on your shoes.
Week 6: November Monday 8
Special Project Volleys II. Now you get to draw the image on the shoes using paint pens and fabric paints.
The Different Ways We Can Print (Relief Prints)
Week 7: November Monday 15
Printing using found objects. Using a wide range of objects we will put together a delightfully whimsical picture.
Week 8: November Monday 22
Card design. Design and draw out images ready for printing the following week.
Week 9: November Monday 29
Card prints. The fun bit…printing the cards!
Week 10: December Monday 6
Printing on fabric. Using the same method as the previous week you can print on to your very own bag or pillowcase.
Week 11: December Wednesday 15
CHRISTMAS PARTY 5pm-6pm
Creative Art Classes
Our Creative Art classes explore techniques and use various media through highly creative and original projects. For children 5 to 12 years old, these classes open new creative perspectives, stepping away from the classic 2D art classes into 3D creative exploration. View our past projects here.

Farm Papier Mache Chickens I Featuring various breeds of chickens we will create these crazy chooks in papier mache. This activity will go over two weeks. |

Design a Hot Air Balloon Mobile Each child will design and assemble a hot air balloon with a little basket hanging beneath as a delightful wall hanging. |

Create a Calendar Getting ready for the New Year the children will be putting together a calendar for 2010 with space for them to add drawings and photos. |

Make Beeswax Candles Using natural beeswax sheets we are going to make a candle and a lovely gift box to keep it in. |

Craft a Sock Animal reindeer Another delightful sock animal to make. This reindeer will conveniently turn into a dog when his antlers are removed. |

Christmas Decorations (1hour 1/2 session) Lots of wonderful decorations to choose from. Bon-bons, baubles, snowflakes, felt hearts...and more. This session will go for an extra half hour so we can fit in more Christmas crafty-ness. |

Download a registration form. We realise that there is a need for flexibility, thus you may either join for a full term (and get a discount) or participate when you are able to (booking is advisable). Most projects are designed to be achievable within the hour. Classes run Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. For more information ring 5221 8855.
